About Quigley
It began as an idea, evolved into a treatment, a synopsis, and ultimately became a novel. From the book, a script was developed, and after polishing, a final screenplay draft was created. Once approved, the script was sent to Gary Busey. He’d never done a family film before and loved the concept. The novel offers behind-the-scenes insights and answers questions not covered in the movie. The book, available in paperback or eBook format, can be found on Amazon.

How Quigley the Film came to life
The Story
QUIGLEY
Archie, a wealthy, selfish man known for cruel practical jokes and estranged from his brother Woodward, faces a grim reckoning. After a deadly accident, Heaven hesitates to grant him entry. Instead, Archie is sent back to Earth—transformed into a small white Pomeranian named Quigley, the very kind of dog he despises.
His guide on this improbable journey is Guardian Angel Sweeny—a wise, ever-present mentor who alone sees Archie as human. Everyone else sees Archie as Quigley. With Sweeny's occasional nudges and watchful presence, Archie has a short window to make amends: he must sabotage a company CD-ROM that could ruin his employees’ lives, reconnect with his brother, and finally reward his steadfast manager, Dexter, for years of loyalty.
Like Quigley, Archie must adapt to a world where he can no longer depend on authority or wealth, only empathy and resourcefulness. Sweeney observes, offering gentle guidance when Archie feels lost, but it’s up to Archie to embrace humility and act with genuine kindness.
Through a series of misadventures, Archie learns about sacrifice, regains trust, and discovers the redemptive power of love. He stops the harmful CD-ROM, repairs his relationship with Woodward, and makes sure Dexter is recognized. In the end, Archie’s journey—guided by Sweeny’s wisdom—teaches him that redemption is achieved not through power, but through compassion, selflessness, and a willingness to change.
The gates of heaven open, not for the man Archie once was, but for the one he has become—thanks, in no small part, to the unwavering presence of Guardian Angel Sweeny.
